Education
It was in the U.S. that Mar Makarios was given the occasion to advance his studies. He enrolled at Nashota House in Wisconsin for his Bachelor'ss degree in Divinity. He then enrolled at Virginia Technological Seminary in 1963 for his Master'ss degree in religion. Upon graduation he gained his Doctorate in theology from Union Theological Seminary, located in Virginia.
