His Grace Dr. Thomas Mar Makarios

His Grace Dr.Thomas Mar Makarios, founder Metropolitan of America and Metropolitan of Canada, UK and Europe, was born on May 26, 1926. He completed his theological studies in Kottayam at the Orthodox Theological Seminary and was ordained as a priest in 1952. From there, he traveled throughout the world taking classes at various institutions in Church history, doctrine and law. He completed his Bachelor's from Divinity, Master's in Theology and eventually received his Doctorate. He was a well versed man in all things related to the Orthodox church.
